Dubai Airport Freezone has just completed an intensive five-day awareness training on fire fighting, emergency response and safety training. A total of 60 staff members across all departments participated in the training.
The training, conducted by the Dubai Civil Defense commenced on January 3 and the employees were divided into two groups. The instruction lasted three hours each day.
"It is good practice to always be prepared for any eventuality and regular fire fighting and emergency response training for our staff is a must," said, Yousuf Behzad, Executive Director of the Freezone's Human Capital and Strategy Department.
Dubai Civil Defence trainors Mohammed Khalil Juma and Mohammed Al Hadi taught Freezone employees theoretical and practical skills in fire prevention skills, manual extinguishing devices, actual fire fighting onsite, spotting of general hazards, first aid and building evacuation. Freezone staff also visited the fire fighting centre to learn methodology.
