Yousuf Ali Behzad, Senior Executive Director of Human Capital and Marketing division at Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA),and Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties this week at the HCT-Dubai Colleges, in the presence of a number of the colleges teaching staff and senior officials in the Authority.
The new MoU states that the parties investigate ways in which they can support the efforts of localisation, training, qualifying and employing HCT-Dubai Colleges male and female students of all disciplines.
Yousuf Behzad, Senior Executive Director of Human Capital and Marketing division at DAFZA, said: “This memorandum enhances the close relationship that binds the Authority with HCT-Dubai, and works on activating a partnership between the two sides to serve efforts of localization, which the Authority aims at promoting in all its affiliated departments and sections. “
DAFZA will provide specialized training and educational opportunities for HCT-Dubai Colleges male and female students in field and during the students’ summer training periods.
HCT-Dubai Colleges, on their part, will organize especial workshops for students, in cooperation with the Authority, according to the local human resources needs of the two parties.
“This memorandum comes in response to the HCT commitment to apply the Absher initiative, which led to high-level agreements with the private sector. It is one of the most important agreements that, in coordination with DAFZA, provide great training opportunities for students and graduates alike,” Dr. Kamali said.
The Memorandum also states that DAFZA will provide qualifying and training opportunities for HCT-Dubai Colleges students in different fields, throughout the academic year, and during students’ vacation periods. DAFZA will also give priority to HCT male and female students in staff recruitment, in accordance with the needs of the Authority.
